China's PET Production, Consumption and Forecast Analysis – polyester, PET, PTA-plastics industry

Polyester ( PET , Polyethylene terephthalate) is terephthalic acid (PTA) and ethylene glycol (EG) produced through condensation. As the different ways of production and processing, the product is divided into polyester chips, polyester film and polyester (PET’s scientific name), polyester filament and staple fiber points, polyester filament yarn accounted for about 62% of staple fiber about 38%, filament for textile enterprises to use, staple fiber and cotton blended general. Section is divided into bottle grade chips, film grade chips and fiber chips, fiber sections were dissolved spinning into fiber, film grade chips bottle grade and generally no longer used for fiber production. More than 75% of China for the production of polyester fiber polyester, commonly known as polyester, polyester fibers accounted for 85% of the total, the textile industry, the main raw material. Therefore, polyester series of market change and development trend of chemical fiber industry, the focus of attention.

History Polyester ( PE T) was invented in 1944, 1949, the first to achieve commercial production in the UK because there are excellent taking and high strength properties, as in the production of synthetic fibers, the largest species. Polyester 70’s before the 20th century has maintained rapid development, its production growth rate: 200% 1960 1965 50%, 60% in 1970, then slowing down and cyclical trend growth rate in 1975 30% 10% 1982 1987 12.6% 1992 6% 1999 4.3% 2001 4.8% 8% expected in 2004. 90’s of last century, the polyester industry has begun to shift the focus of development in Asia, to the mid-90s, due to excessive capacity expansion, except for China has excess supply situation. By 1999, the polyester industry has ushered in a new stage of development, mainly due to bottle and film grade, composite and other non-increase in the amount of polyester fiber, polyester suits with peak demand. According to the World Congress of polyester, from 1999 to 2005, the polyester production capacity can be increased 33 to 40% annual growth rate of 6.6 to 8%. Since 2000, the world’s polyester industry entered a new round of rapid development.

In the polyester products, polyester fiber non-rapid development. In 1996, world production of polyester packaging resins and films were 4.519 million tons and 1.382 million tons, accounting for 20.7% of the world’s total output of polyester and 6.3% in 1998 were 6.995 million tons and 1.631 million tons, accounting for the world gather ester production of 24.6% and 5.7%. 8.236 million tons respectively in 2000 and 1.769 million tons, an average annual growth rate of 17.6% and 6.2% each in the world polyester production of 26.0% and 5.59%. Projected to 2003, non-polyester fiber polyester production output accounts for about 1 / 3.

PE T is no longer confined primarily to the use of fiber, but to further expand the types of containers, packaging materials, films, film, Engineering Plastics Fields, currently, PET is being increasingly replaced by aluminum, glass, ceramics, paper, wood, steel and other synthetic materials, polyester family have continued to expand.

Status and forecast production and consumption in China

Polyester production in China started late 70’s began to take shape in Shanghai, Tianjin, Liaoyang and other production bases, 80 homemade batch, semi-continuous small-build polyester plant more, according to statistics there are more than 110 .

What a Changing Savings and Export Rate Tell Us

What a Changing Savings and Export Rate Tell Us

What can we learn from the insight that the U.S. consumer is saving more and Chinese exports are falling? The chart below from Bloomberg has an interesting story to tell. The yellow line represents the falling growth rate of Chinese exports vs. last year. The white line shows the rising savings rate of the U.S. consumer.

As the global recession reached its depths, China’s export growth fell, going negative at the end of 2008. This should be no surprise as U.S. consumers were buying much of China’s exports. As the recession wore on consumers curtailed their purchases causing the Chinese to cut their exports. As China’s exports fall, it is forcing the country to find new ways to help their economy grow.

To replace export growth, China has turned to expanding bank lending as a part of their stimulus package. Professor Michael Pettis from Peking University writes a blog titled Chinese Financial Markets. In his June 30th and July 8th entries, he discusses the dramatic expansion of bank lending in China. I encourage anyone who wants to learn more about the Chinese financial system to ready Michael’s blog. In June, new loans in China leapt more than 150% from May according to Professor Pettis.

As you might believe, many people believe this rapid expansion of lending will have serious consequences later. The Chinese government seeks to achieve an 8% growth rate to offset the affects of the falling exports. The expansion in lending has several results, some good and some bad. On the positive side, it encourages growth in consumption as more Chinese move into the middle class. This in turn helps the Chinese economy to continue to grow, while it stabilizes the political environment. It also funds further development of infrastructure that is a part of the large government stimulus program. According to the central government, almost 70% of the 6 billion stimulus package goes into infrastructure.

All this spending s intended to help offset the falling exports and keep the Chinese economic miracle on track. There is a good chance the massive expansion in credit will result in a new debt bubble. Professor Pettis expects this might happen in a couple of years. In the mean time China will be buying raw materials, manufactured and consumer goods to help fuel this growth. This growth in demand will have a positive affect on the exports of other countries, including the U.S. This is one of the reasons I believe exports will be a more important contributor to the recovery of the U.S. economy for several years.

What about the U.S. consumer and their higher savings rate. As the chart above shows people are saving more, which means they are spending less. Less spending translates into fewer imports to the U.S. Less spending also contributes to a slower economic recovery. In addition, the U.S. stimulus program is contributing to the higher savings rate as people put at least some of the stimulus money into the bank to help them replace the money they have lost over the last few years in the financial crisis.

If you are one of those people who have a job paid for by the stimulus, you will tend to put any extra you earn into a rainy day savings, as you remain worried about the longevity of the job at hand. You cannot blame people for saving more. In fact, longer term it will turn out to be a positive as higher savings provides capital for growth, money to help fund the growing U.S. debt and a cushion against another economic recession.

The question on many economists’ minds, will this higher savings rate be sustainable? I believe it will. First, they remember what happened either to them or to their parents and they do not want to see that happen again. Second, as evidence is showing from the “cash for clunkers” program, money spent on new cars is reducing spending on other consumer durable goods such as household appliances. There is just so much money to go around.

Third, the younger generation has seen first hand what happens when people spend too much and many are determined to be more reasonable in the future. Thank the green movement, as well as the extravagances of the 1990’s and 2000’s. In addition, college students have sizeable loans that they must pay off. Earlier generations did not face such a large debt when they started their work career after graduating from college.

All of these factors will help to sustain the higher savings rate in the United States. Unfortunately, a higher savings rate will limit the ability of the consumer to be the major driving force in any economic expansion. Instead of a 3% growth rate in consumer spending as we have experience in the past 20 years, the U.S. is more likely to see spending by people rise at the 1-2% rate for several years to come.

As mentioned at the beginning of this article, the expansion of U. S. consumer savings and falling rate of exports from China has an interesting story to tell. As investors, we should more cautious when considering that the cyclical recovery of consumer spending will be the same as it has in the recent past. In addition, the growing middle class in China means they will be demanding more goods and services, some of which will be imported. The companies that export to China will benefit from the growth in demand for their products.

What is Smart Packaging?

What is Smart Packaging?

What urges you to buy one product over other if both are brand new in the market. It is actually the external appearance that affect our perceptions and ideas about the product. Packing any product thus is a challenge and companies often spend huge amount on smart packaging.

Smart packaging is the intelligent packing that serve the purpose of packing and at the same time urges the buyer to pick your product among some many other items. It also add functionality to the product along with security and consumption.

Packaging Smartness
Packaging smartness is not only in the appearance but it also depends upon other factors like type of food being packed, household products, age for which the packing is being done etc. But whatsoever are the factors, smart packaging must include the following

It should prevent the spoilage of food by maintaining integrity.
It should retain flavour, taste and enhance the look of the packed product.
It should act in the changing environment of temperature and weather.
Must have clear information on the product, calorie details, ingredients and other such required information.
Must be sealed properly to maintain the integrity.

Smart packaging also has the microbial growth indicators, along with physical shock indicators, leakage and microbial spoilage indicators. There is also advanced version of the packing that is active packaging. It is still under the phase of development. It has more features than the intelligent packaging. This includes oxygen scavenging, anti-microbial, moisture absorbing, ethylene scavenging etc.

Smart Packaging Functioning
In this kind of packaging external or internal conditions causes the packing functions to trigger on and off accordingly. Through the indicators the customer will come to know about the status of the food product if it is consumable or not.

Fresh fruits and vegetables are packed in the smart packaging films and packing. For this breathable polymer films are used. The smart packaging pouch for this automatically regulates the ingression of oxygen and egression of carbon dioxide. This helps in creating an optimal temperature and environment around the food product thus preventing its spoilage.

Reason for Intelligent Packaging
Today there is a growing need of getting more and more information about the product by the consumer. This urge has led to the development of new and innovative concepts of intelligent packaging. Buyers are looking for the ingredients and component of the packed food and how these should be stored and used for a longer time.

In case of pharmaceutical packing the packaging will tell the consumers that how to discard the packing after consumption. It is the information that is required by the recycling companies. Also it should contain the information on healthcare centers that are required by the patient.

Packaging films is an extensive portal on all kinds of packing material and films with industry overview, b2b trade zone and product catalog.

Who Won This Bout: Bottled Water Vs Tap Water?

Who Won This Bout: Bottled Water Vs Tap Water?

The Natural Resources Council never actually sponsored a contest called “bottled water vs tap water.” That Council did not study the best means for broadcasting a decision in the “battle” of “tap versus bottled water.” Yet that Council did put out a report, a report in which the Council compared bottled water to tap.

What was in that report? What facts about bottled water and tap water were unearthed by the researchers who compiled that report? Did that report point to a clear winner in the contest of “bottled water vs tap water?” Did that report award any sort of trophy to the opinionated advocates who had dared to speak out on the issue of tap versus bottled water?

No the Natural Resources Council did not take any one “side” in the ongoing controversy surrounding water from a tap and from a bottle. The Council did not dispute the fact that consumption of tap water constitutes a willingness to take added risks. By the same token, the Council asked the public to bear in mind the following facts:

– Bottled water that is sold in the same state where it has been bottled does not need to meet FDA regulations.

– FDA regulations stipulate that tap water from a city faucet can have no confirmed E.coli or fecal coliform bacteria. A certain amount of coliform bacteria is allowed in bottled water.

– Water that comes from a city tap has been filtered and disinfected, according to federal regulations. No federal regulations insist upon the filtering and disinfection of bottled water.

– Tap water that comes from a city must be free of cancer causing chemicals, such as phthalate. Yet the FDA exempts bottled water from that requirement, even though bottled water comes in plastic containers (containers that contain phthalate)

While the Natural Resources Council has chosen not to take a “side” in the contest of “bottled water vs tap water,” it has certainly produced arguments that could be used to support either group of “contestants.” The Council has not declared any one “side” as the winner in the battle of “tap versus bottled water.” Yet the public has won access to important information, due to that same on-going “battle.”

The public has heard again about the toxic chemicals that can show up in tap water. By the same token, the public has discovered that bottled water is not much safer than tap water. At the same time, the public has been reminded that there is an alternative to both tap and bottled water.

Homeowners and business owners who want to provide employees, family members or guests with pure and good-tasting water should heed the mention of that alternative. What is that alternative? How can a homeowner implement use of that alternative?

That alternative involves installation in a home or business of a water purification device. An ever-widening circle of homeowners and business owners have chosen to use an activated carbon filter. When combined with ion exchange and micron filtration, those filters can bring the level of contaminants in any water system down, down to an acceptable level.

A business owner can sleep better, after he or she has invested in an activated carbon filter. A homeowner can rest easy, once he or she knows that a particular water purification device provides guests and residents in a given home with readily available, clean and safe drinking water.

What Is The Difference Between Bottled Water And Tap Water ? Truth Revealed

What Is The Difference Between Bottled Water And Tap Water ? Truth Revealed

Bottled water has always been surrounded by controversies. It is the quality of this water which has long been debated. The easy and only way to end this discussion is to find the answer to the most important question i.e. what is the difference between bottled water and tap water? Read on to find out the answer.

People today understand the fact that the water reaching their homes is badly contaminated and harmful for consumption. In this dilemma, they sometimes end up consuming bottled water thinking that now they have saved themselves from all the water borne diseases that are caused due to consumption of contaminated water.

The problem here is that these people simply believe whatever is shown or written in the advertisements for bottled water. They do not try to find out the truth themselves. Let me ask you. Have you really taken a step forward and tried to find out what is the difference between bottled water and tap water?

What if I tell you that bottled water is nothing but tap water bottled up beautifully and sold in market for a higher price? Shocking – Isn’t it?

I too was shocked. The question what is the difference between bottled water and tap water, kept bothering me. And it was then that I decided to do some further research in this area. Here are the true facts:-

– Bottled H2O is nothing but tap water itself.

– There is no regulation applied on the quality of this water and hence there are practically no checks on the water quality. Without any rules and regulations in place, there is no guarantee that the water that they are selling for high prices is really clean or not.

– Some water companies use a cheap quality of plastic for their bottles. This plastic has the property of seeping into the water and contaminating it further. It means that the bottled water can be even more contaminated than tap water!

– The plastic used for these bottles is not eco-friendly, it adds up to the pollution. These bottles just land up in landfills and will be there even after centuries.

Tell me, do you see any logic in paying more than double price for buying water which is freely available in your taps? I don’t think so. And I am sure you too will agree to this.

What is the solution then?

The best and most trusted way to ensure the quality of the drinking water is to purify it yourself. It is not difficult to find a good water purifier which can efficiently remove all sorts of impurities from the water, leaving you with nothing but clean and pure water.

With the question “what is the difference between bottled water and tap water” answered, it is time for you to make the right choice now.

Why Drinking Bottled Water is Much Safer and Tastes Better Than Tap Water

Why Drinking Bottled Water is Much Safer and Tastes Better Than Tap Water

All types of water including tap water, bottled water and filtered water can be good, however they all have their quircks and limitations that you should be aware of.

Depending where you are located, tap water can have quite a lot of impurities and various contaminants. It is loaded with pesticide, chlorine, various heavy metals, microbes and other bad stuff for people to digest. Also in some places you will find that the tap water just doesn’t taste as great as you’d like it to. Most people already know that the tap water is the least pure of the three types and many stay away from it unless they boil the water.

Because of all the diseases people tend to get from drinking tap water, they usually buy the bottled type as it is much safer and it tastes better too.

It has been put forward the fact that the liquid in the bottles is just repackaged tap water, but in most cases this is just not true. Although it starts out as coming from the tap, the liquid that is in the bottles to be found in the shops has been purified through various levels. Even when you talk about spring or mineral water that comes from natural sources it is cleaned, purified and treated to be safe for general consumption.

There have been cases of cross-contamination with swimming pools or various other external sources and that can always happen. However most of the times this is not the case. Also many companies that are selling bottled water are actually members of IBWA (International Bottled Water Association), which is an organization that has very strict and severe rules for producing safe and pure water. In order to keep their membership alive, members have to undergo yearly, unannounced inspection visits from the main plants to ensure that the water is pure at all times.

Also you will find that water that is bottled tastes much better than the tap variety. This is because it contains no harmful chemicals or impurities and as it has been infused with oxygen, the taste is greatly enhanced.

Another issue people have with it are the bottles themselves. Plastic material is recently considered hazardous to our environment and with good reason. However the plastic bottles can be entirely crushes and can be recycled, so they should not pose any environmental risks to the people.

To enhance the cleanness of it many people lately use purifying techniques or a countertop water cooler. This simply gives additional peace of mind to families with children and sick people around. As a matter of fact if you drink purified water you will notice that this tastes really the best of all. First of all the bottled liquid is already cleaned of impurities, however having the additional treatment in place through distillation or reverse osmosis or other purification treatments, it is practically 98% free of all bacteria and unwanted chemicals. This is truly the water that anyone should expect to drink every day.

Having a bottled water cooler in your home is great if you want to drink water from bottles. To read more about it’s benefits visit my website discussing cleaning your bottled water cooler and other aspects and types of bottled water.

Greening Your Beauty Routine – What Does it Really Mean?

Greening Your Beauty Routine – What Does it Really Mean?

In broad terms, being “green” means embracing what I call the 3 Rs: Reduce, Re-use, and Recycle. Reducing consumption is where it all starts. The less we consume, the less energy is required to produce or transport products and the less waste and pollution we create, which in turn reduces our exposure to toxins. One of the easiest ways to reduce consumption is to re-use or reclaim products and/or materials instead of creating new ones to replace the old ones. Another is to purchase products that are made locally or as close to your home as possible.

Recycling comes last because it requires a lot of energy to recycle things. Some people believe that the energy required to recycle outweighs the benefits of recycling. But recycling is still a better option than tossing things in the trash where they wind up in landfills releasing noxious gasses –sometimes for hundreds of years!

To borrow a line from the world of computing, it’s all about I/O -that is inputs and outputs. If you want to know how to green any aspect of your lifestyle or make it more “earth-friendly,” there are 3 factors to consider:

1. Inputs: Who, What, Where, Why and How?

Start by looking at the inputs -everything that goes into making a particular product -from the ingredients, to the packaging, to how it’s distributed. Where are the ingredients or raw materials sourced from and how are they made? Are the processes for extracting them fundamentally safe for the environment? Is the manufacturing process moderately clean, very clean, somewhat dirty, or very dirty? Are there by-products that are toxic or can pollute the environment? How energy-intensive are the various processes used to make the finished product? Where is it made relative to where it’s sold? And how far does it have to travel before it reaches you, the end-user?

These are some of the ways to determine the carbon footprint for a product. The more energy and fuel it takes to move materials and finished product around and the farther it has to travel, the greater the carbon emissions which contribute to both pollution and global warming.

Other issues or concerns relating to this aspect of production include whether small producers (like farmers) are paid a fair price for materials or services; if workers are being needlessly exposed to any harm during the production process; or are subject to inhumane conditions.

2. The Impact of Products During Their Life Cycle

For personal care and beauty products, the key is always in the ingredients first, and packaging second. In the hierarchy of available options, plant-based products are clearly safer than their synthetic and petroleum-based counterparts. Plants have been used successfully throughout history for medicinal and beautification purposes, because as creatures of nature it follows that our bodies can comprehend and better utilize ingredients that exist in nature (whether ingested as food or absorbed into the skin through topical use). The advent of synthetics and petroleum by-products is relatively new from a historical perspective. Since they are “manufactured” as opposed to existing in nature, it makes sense that our bodies can and often do have a hard time dealing with them.

Of course, organically grown and produced products are safer because of the extremely low exposure to pesticides, and because organic farming practices are non-polluting and totally sustainable.

There are an alarming number of chemical and petroleum ingredients that go into making personal care and beauty products, not to mention some scary by-products of the manufacturing process. In March 2008, the Organic Consumers Association (OCA) commissioned a study that found that even some of the leading “natural” and “organic” personal care products contain a highly toxic ingredient called 1,4-Dioxane. This is a by-product of “Ethoxylation”, a cheap short-cut companies use to soften harsh ingredients. 1,4-Dioxane is considered a cancer-causing chemical by the State of California under it’s exhaustive Proposition 65 regulation.

When looking at the primary impact on your health and safety, you should also consider the secondary impact of washing these ingredients off your skin and down the drain. What happens when toxic chemicals and petroleum ingredients wind up in our rivers and streams? 1,4-Dioxane has been identified as a leading groundwater contaminant, and is a good example of the hidden dangers that can lurk in products we blithely assume are safe.

3. What Happens At the End of the Line?

When looking at the final impact of a personal care product on the environment, packaging probably matters most. There are certain types of plastic like PVC (Poly Vinyl Chloride) which is not recyclable and whose production is very “dirty.” Plastic can leach chemicals all throughout its life cycle, release toxins into surrounding communities during its manufacture, and can pose health risks from exposure to fumes when incinerated on the back-end.

Again, there is a hierarchy of preference when it comes to packaging starting with glass as the safest and most environmentally friendly option, followed by re-usable materials like aluminum or stainless steel (aluminum containers should have an FDA-approved Epoxy phenolic internal coating to prevent reactivity with its contents), and “friendlier,” recyclable plastics such as PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) and HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene). Of most concern to your health and the environment are plastics coded for recycling as #3, #6, and #7. Plastic containers that are acceptable are labeled #1, #2, #4, and #5.

To truly “Green” your personal care routine choose products that are designed with “environmental intelligence” from start to finish; are made entirely in the USA –preferably in the region where you live; and don’t pose any known safety risks to your health.

Going New Green Earth

Going New Green Earth

Our planet is in peril. It’s in the news and folks all over the planet are becoming kinder to our world. I know how to save the globe. Heck, get all the top scientists in the top scientists in the world together and they can’t even agree on ways to save the world, but they are going to agree that something needs to be done quickly.

Can one person save the Earth? No, but one person and another and another and so on can reserve it. So, why not be one of those people.

Be Green for the Good of Our Planet

We all should hold our government and big industries to their part in initiating green action. Industries absolutely need to stop polluting. Government wants to support clean alternative energy. Communities all need to work on every level to promote waste reduction. People can make massive gains toward a greener and cleaner world.

Do any of us expect regimes, communities, and industries to modify overnight? No. Don’t beat yourself up if you aren’t making some of these changes to your lifestyle overnight.

Anything you do to decrease the amount of the Earth’s resources that you use helps to reduce consumption helping you to guide a more sustainable life.

One of the simplest, yet most useful, paths to help our Earth is to buy items with less packaging. Look for the double rolls package. If each this, the savings in packaging would be astronomic. The energy that companies use to create that packaging might be cut in half and the world would breathe a little easier.

Recycle the toilet roll cardboard tubes and, when you open the package of toilet tissue, just slit it on the top and then use the empty package as a liner in a small trashcan.

You may use the cold water for drinking water or to water plants, but allowing it to go down the drain is not helpful to the environment. This is a straightforward way to be kind to our planet.

Remember, it’s up to all of us to help create a new green earth. Little things that we do on a daily basis can help ensure the survival of a new green earth for generations to come.

The Future of Active and Intelligent Packaging: Enabling Technologies, Optimized Consumption and Multi-Sensory Features

    Report overview

Awareness and interest in active and intelligent packaging is growing. Government funded projects which aim to introduce, evaluate, or initiate developments in active and intelligent packaging have been implemented. However, in the survey of food and drinks industry executives carried out for this report, 57.3% of respondents were “not at all aware” or “slightly aware” of active and intelligent packaging. These results indicate that awareness and understanding of active and intelligent packaging innovations and their resulting benefits will need to increase in order to facilitate more extensive uptake of these technologies.

The focus of active and intelligent packaging has moved from specific retailer and manufacturer driven benefits like shelf-life extension and spoilage protection, to include more consumer focused benefits such as freshness, quality and information. A range of diverse technologies and sectors are now relevant for active and intelligent packaging in food and drinks.

This report focuses on active and intelligent packaging developments within the food and drinks market, and also provides relevant examples from other sectors (personal care and OTC healthcare). The report highlights the innovative trends, translating technical capabilities and features into likely commercial opportunities. New products and technologies are evaluated, and the potential benefits to consumers, manufacturers, distributors and retailers are highlighted. This report provides a unique perspective on new food and drinks product launches with respect to packaging innovations that can be described as active or intelligent.

    Key findings…

In the survey carried out for this report, 85.3% of executives stated that active and intelligent packaging will have ‘some’ or ‘a large’ impact on innovation within the food and drinks sector over the next five years.

According to the industry survey, freshness and quality indicators, temperature and time indicators, flavor and aroma releasing technologies, natural antimicrobials, self-heating and cooling technologies, were identified as the most important innovations for consumers over the next five years.

Food safety and traceability, food wastage and environmental concerns are influencing the uptake of active and intelligent packaging technologies in the food and drinks sector.

9% of all new food and drinks products launched over the period 2006 to 2009 were tagged with ‘fresh’, ‘freshness’, or related terms. 3.2% of new products launched were tagged with the term ‘quality’.

    Use this report to…

    • Understand the scope of active and intelligent packaging and the range of applications within the food and drinks sector.

    • Evaluate the market potential for active and intelligent packaging in the food and drinks sector in terms of benefits offered and relevance by category.

    • Assess how key food and drinks manufacturers are using active and intelligent technologies to improve efficiencies, differentiate products and develop new products.

    • Gain insights into active and intelligent packaging NPD trends and how these products have been promoted.

    • Identify the future applications of active and intelligent packaging for consumers, retailers, distributors and manufacturers.

    • Understand the key opportunities for and challenges against active and intelligent packaging within the food and drinks sector.

    Key issues…

The focus of active and intelligent packaging has moved from specific retailer and manufacturer driven benefits like shelf-life extension and spoilage protection, to include more consumer focused benefits such as freshness, quality and information.

Food manufacturers work within global supply chains and need to find methods for ensuring the safety and traceability of foods produced and distributed within these chains. Intelligent packaging has a role to play in traceability and safety systems, as packaging and/or labelling is the most logical place to hold traceability information.

Reducing food waste has become an important issue in many parts of the world. Active and intelligent packaging technologies can extend product shelf-life and help reduce wastage by clarifying the suitability of a product for consumption.

Reduction of packaging waste has become a major issue for consumers and society and is the subject of much lobbying and government initiatives. Given this context, developments within active and intelligent packaging need to fit into packaging waste management expectations.

The development of smaller, cheaper and more flexible electronic components will increase the potential for sophisticated ‘smart’ tags and sensors to be used on individual packs, and has the potential to accelerate the uptake of sound and light elements in packaging.

Green Guide to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle!

Green Guide to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle!

Environmental Conservation is something every one of us should do. Reduce; reuse and recycle are the three main ideologies on which we need to work on to embrace Green Lifestyle and to conserve the environment. It doesn’t matter if you do a lot or just a few; what matters are the simple yet active contributions by each and every one of us which can lead to remarkable benefits for the planet. Green Investment can bring tremendous benefits for both you and what surrounds you.

    1. Reduce

It is important to always bear in mind the reduction of the total amount of consumption on earth’s natural resources. By reducing the consumption of any electronic devices and making sure they are turned off when not in use is a very useful way in order to conserve energy. The reduction of water utilization is also another way to contribute in saving our natural resources. It is also best to just buy things that you need and eliminate those that you don’t in order to reduce waste.

    2. Reuse

We shouldn’t just bin things that can still be used when fixed. If clothes can be worn many times, water can also be reused as much. Water that has been used on laundry can be used again in cleaning your car. Furniture at home that has been damaged shouldn’t be disposed immediately if they can be fixed, then do so. One of the best ways to minimize garbage is to reuse plastic bags over and over. But the best thing to do is to avoid using plastic materials and switch to organic ones instead.

    3. Recycle

We should acknowledge the importance of recycling, instead of disposing; why not think of ways to create something new out of the old material? Recycling saves energy as well as natural resources. Examples of things that are often recycled are glass, plastic, newspapers, aluminum cans, used motor oil, and batteries. Old newspapers could be made into simple home decors if you know how to be creative. Plastic jars could be turned to beautiful vases. Old jeans could be turned to an organizer or a rug. These are just few of the things which can be turned into useful things when recycled.

Lessening the amount resources that are consumed, using only the amount that is needed and looking for alternatives that will lessen our use will surely contribute a lot in saving our resources.Environmental conservation should be prioritize in order to fully enjoy its purpose, we should do something right now while it is not yet late to do so.

We are not Environmentalists, We are EARTH WARRIORS.
