Pet Beverage Bottles Are One Of The Trends For Future Development

PET beverage packaging as the packaging aspect of food production enterprises, more than 30 years people have been exploring ways to replace Glass bottle And tin cans in the packaging materials and containers, and plastic is the best material currently available. It has the characteristics of light weight, can reduce transportation costs. But not every plastic are suitable for Food Packaging . Polyester (PET) food packaging material appears to be a rapid development. PET containers after the food and beverage packaging gradually become a popular “hot demand.” PET containers light weight and strong firm attracted customers by the market. There is also a big advantage of PET material that can form any shape (the applicability of good), but also can be processed into line with people’s habit of color, text and images can be Print .

PET beverage bottles are one of the trends for future development

Domestic PET bottle of mainstream products, initially limited to colas, mineral water, distilled water used in drinks like packaging container, the application of its excellent performance and reasonable price widely welcomed by users in these drinks packaging Based on the successful application of recent years has been in the heat-resistant PET bottle bottled drinks black tea, green tea, Juice And edible oil, cosmetics, medicine, pesticide and other industries to expand its applications. It is reported that in 1996 China’s production of PET bottle 3 billion in 1998 rose to 5 billion in 2000 to reach 8 billion, 9 billion in 2001, 2002, to reach 10 billion, 13 billion in 2004 to become Plastic packaging materials Largest increase variety. Particularly since 2001 with the sudden emergence of the domestic market of tea drink (tea production in 2001 reached 3,000,000 t), tea beverages 85 ~ 90 hot filling PET bottle PET bottle has become the fastest growing in recent years species. At the same time, PET aseptic cold filling bottle the trend of the rise in Japan and other countries, cause for concern. Mentioned earlier non- Carbonated beverages Fruit juice, vegetable juice, various flavors of tea drinks, dairy products, coffee, etc., the traditional hot filling perfusion techniques are used, but this technology PET bottles require a higher (must use high-temperature hot-fill PET bottles ), it was reported that Japan already has one-third of non-carbonated beverages using aseptic cold filling technology, therefore, that the future development of PET beverage bottles are one of the trends. A report said the new nutrient-based drinks and flavors added products can help revitalize the stagnant special drink bottled water market, and PET resin and PET bottle suppliers to bring new opportunities.

Recession in the global economy environment, the 2009 pairs of plastic food and beverage packaging industry in China will no doubt be a cold winter, but the ability of PET bottle industry is expected to warm more than other plastic packaging industry stronger. This is mainly the Chinese beverage market in recent years, especially fruit juice and tea drinks market growing rapidly. As the most mainstream of the current beverage packaging materials will also benefit from this PET bottle, so, PET bottles will have greater market opportunities.

Marketing Trends and Challenges in Year 2010

Marketing Trends and Challenges in Year 2010

Prediction is very difficult, especially about the future. The current world is not a place where you predict and undertake the works. Now everything is changing very quickly and fast. Specially predicting about consumers is a petty difficult task, and involves lot of uncertainties. For marketers there is a challenging year ahead and they have to adopt the following trends and challenges to overcome this.

1 – Value is the king.

Still the globe is suffering with recession. Since the customers are more prices sensitive these days they will look only for value more than the brand even before. So marketers should think about delivering maximum value to the customers.

2- Brand differentiation is the key

Now customers are overloaded with many choices. Products, services, communication are confusing the customers with overloaded information. The great success depends for marketers on how they are going to differentiate their brand with competitors. Value additions, excellent service quality and features are going to be the key factors to retain customers.

3- Growing customer expectations

These days’ brands are barely keeping up with customer expectations. Every day customers come across new innovations and look for more from their favorite brands. Smart marketers need to identify all the expectation of their customers and capitalize on the unmet needs. The brands which identify the unmet needs of the customers are going to be the survivors in the hard economic time.

4- Old tricks don’t work/won’t work anymore. They’re talking to each other before talking to the brand

Just sending them with attractive promotional messages, e-mails, newsletters are not going to work well when compared to past gone days. Rather than getting attracted to firm communication people are going to believe their peer groups. They first communicate with their peer group and then with the brand. So social networking is going to be a key marketing tactics to be used or to be considered by marketers.

5 – Market space goes more online

The online market place tends to grow than before. People find better deals online. It’s time for organizations to think about proper online marketing strategies. What are the important stuffs a firm needs to consider in the online market place?

– Facebook will replace the personal e-mail – it has been now used widely and had become a verb as well. Like people say “I Googled” now they tend to say “I Facebooked”.
– Fewer registrations for web sites. Because of larger number of players in the competitive online market place, people find it difficult to remember their password and other information. So Facebook Connect and OpenID becoming popular where people use to register or signup for sites with one username and password.
– Disruption vs. Continuity – The social networking is continuing to grow faster and companies are investing and starting up online communities to build their business and market their product.
– PPC might phase-out and SEO will play a role. Because of recession, companies try to reduce spending on Google and concentrate their effort on search engine optimization. But still social network advertising might grow.
– Analytics is the best way to track your visitor behavior and site activities.

6 – Customer engagement will be the pin point
Continuous touch and engagement with the customers will be a step up the ladder. Just sticking in one sales point is no longer sustainable for a firm.

7 – Emergence of mobile commerce

Though the mobile penetration is increasing, but it has not yet delivered the promise. Only recently mobiles use has been extended to payment for goods and services. Now it’s time for markets to think about mobile marketing in the coming year.

So what are the challenges they face? Now marketers must balance and mange various pressures by increasing consumer engagement, value, differentiate, demonstrate performance, leverage all information and analysis and developing innovative and sustainable strategies. It seems still marketers are trying to adopt a long term sustainable model. Now apart from the above mentioned factors they face following challenges as well.

1- Marketers are less confident about the future.
2- Many marketers are fighting the crisis with low budget
3- The crisis makes the marketers to rethink about the media budget

It is now clear marketers are restricted with financial position. Sustainably positioning marketing as key value adding department in the long term is going to be the major task for marketers. They have to

* Differentiate the strategies based on the green arguments which will only prove highly effective for firms those who adopted it in their corporate strategy, and business model and company culture.
* Convince top management about the marketing budget, because today the size of the marketing budget is the first one challenged by others.
* Marketers n

Eco-Friendly Fashion Trends 2010

Eco-Friendly Fashion Trends 2010

Eco-friendly fashion is a hot trend. And you don’t have to sacrifice style or pay an arm and a leg to get eco-friendly trendy clothes. In this article we will talk about what is eco-friendly fashion, some eco-friendly fashion trends and designers that are offering stylish and affordable eco-friendly fashion clothing.

Different people define eco-friendly fashion differently but some of the key elements to eco-friendly fashion are materials and processes used by designers and manufacturers that are friendly to you and the earth. This may include materials such as organic cotton, bamboo, flax and hemp, among others that are biodegradable. Or use of processes that are organically safe and eco-friendly. For example, organic cotton production processes do not use pesticides that can harm your health or the planet’s health. Eco-friendly fashion trends also include packaging that is eco-friendly.

The benefits of eco-friendly fashion are not only long term value to the environment but it could have short-term health value to the user. Conventional clothing dyes and garment finishes can cause a wide variety of health problems from skin rashes, headaches, nausea and fatigue. Symptoms could include red cheeks and ears, dark circles under the eye and learning or behavior problems.

What’s hot in eco-friendly fashion? Use of eco-friendly silk, organic cotton and bamboo is hot. Although what gets branded as organic and ethical for silk depends on the type of silkworm used, and whether the silk-worm is killed as a by-product of the harvesting. Increasingly eco-friendly fashion designers are using natural color cottons, wools and other material to create outfits or vegetable dyes that are safer to make and use. Bamboo organic fabric is becoming quite trendy. Clothing made of bamboo organic fibers are robust and durable as denim even as it is soft and smooth as fine silk. Bamboo organic clothing can provide other benefits such as removing moisture and bacteria from the skin.

Talking about eco-friendly designers, Shubrah Designs at shubrah.com is solely focused on eco-friendly fashions. Designer Shubhra Chandra seeks to blend east and west seamlessly into a trendy line of casual tees and evening looks. She believes in natural fabrics and responsible and sustainable business practices.

Natalie Portman has teamed up with Tony Shoe Line to create designer shoes made of alternative materials. As she says, “This collection offers a great selection without compromising quality or style”. Stella McCartney has created a collection called “Green Collection” using only organic materials. She also tries to use eco-friendly material and processes throughout her various collections.

All-in-all, eco-friendly fashion trends are becoming more mainstream with each passing day. Countless haute couture designers are already successfully incorporating eco-friendly designs into their catwalk shows and my bet is that this trend is here to stay.

To know more about various eco-friendly designers, please search for eco friendly fashion online! You can find more details on Shubrah Designs at www.shubrah.com and you can read her blog at http://shubrah.blogspot.com/.

Changing Trends in CD Duplication Business ? Sustainable CD Packaging

Changing Trends in CD Duplication Business ? Sustainable CD Packaging

Increasing number of music CD and DVD releases every year CD duplication has become a booming business for optical media companies.  These companies buy CDs and DVDs at low cost for CD duplication at a mass scale. Once those CDs are burned with data and sold in the market as finished product their job is over.  There are millions of buyers out there who just wait for a new music video or games video to be released, buy it and listen to it as long as long as it is on vogue and then forget. Just like thousands of new CD releases everyday equal number of old CDs are trashed away. Most of those CDs contain chemicals and synthetic colors used for CD printing. Did you ever think of what happens to those rejected CDs? They mostly produce junks that can be quite harmful and toxic for our health.

Changing Trends

Global awareness for environmental pollution is increasing among common people. The impact is on the business of CD duplication as well. The changing trends in the business of CD duplication are evident. New standards are set for CD duplication and packaging to maintain quality as well as control pollution out of trashed CDs and DVDs. Many optical media companies are turning to sustainable CD packaging and printing as part of CD duplication business.

Sustainable CD Packaging

Papers and cardboards have always been a traditional choice for packing and packaging. But for CDs and DVDs plastic jewel cases are the convention when they are to be produced and shipped in bulk. Now, with recycled materials for packaging it’s like old wine in new bottle. CD duplication companies are now presenting CDs and DVDs in smartly designed CD sleeves and CD jackets and wallets made of papers and cardboard that are produced from 100% recycled fiber instead of virgin paper to spare trees and plantation.

Now, conformists may argue about the durability and sturdiness of paper and cardboard. But modern CD DVD duplication companies are smart enough to improvise appropriate designs to make cardboard CD sleeves and cases last long and protect the data. However, there is no reason to think that with recycled materials CD packaging has lost its glamour. There are the options of full color digital printing and aqueous coating for smooth glossy and durable finish. Moreover, sustainable CD sleeves are much lighter than plastic jewel cases. So, there is a way to save money on bulk CD shipment.

Eco-friendly CD Printing

CD DVD duplication is incomplete without the labels printed on it. Printing labels involved inks containing petroleum-based chemicals so far. Now CD replication companies started using eco-friendly inks produced from soy and vegetables extracts. There are compatible printers already in the market for CD printing using vegetable-based inks. These green printers are capable of maintaining the same quality of printing that is delivered by conventional CD label printers.

We explore the most common is the paper packaging industry status and trends, this article will provide you analysis of the international paper packaging industry developments and trends. Comprehensive information, I believe that the owners should be the international paper packaging showed the following direction of development.

A packaging process tends to simplify the

Modern science and technology used in packaging, so a lot of packaging process has been streamlined and a more scientific and rational. As in the past plastic packaging extrusion, hot pressing, stamping and other forming process has been gradually used in forming the cardboard packaging, so that in the past can not be paper packaging products also were using paper packaging.

Packaging printing and post-treatment process more scientific and practical, packaging performance and effectiveness have also undergone significant changes. For example, the packaging of the past, surface treatment of the waxing, laminating process, has gradually been off the surface of glue (glue treatment) to replace, as well as anti-counterfeiting packaging production process, has been partially printed or produced in turn the overall style of printing and production of large area .

2, paper packaging machinery intelligent

At present, the developed countries to meet the diversified needs of modern packaging and began to adapt to the continuous development of many varieties, small quantities of general-purpose packaging machinery and equipment. At the same time keep up the pace of contemporary high-tech development, and constantly the application of advanced technologies. The development of high-tech development and application of modern special-packaging machinery. Including blown film machinery, complex machinery, coating machine, cutting machine armed, printing machinery, paper machinery, canned filling machine, such machines for small-footprint, high efficiency, mechanical appearance to adapt to environmental requirements and operations staff in the psychological requirements. Packaging and printing equipment to the development of digitalization and miniaturization, the cost tends to be cheaper.

3, nano-packaging industry of new materials

The latest nano-technology in the packaging field of industrial application prospect are: nano-plastics and new materials, green environment-friendly colored nano-film, nano-composite polymer plastic wrap, the new nano-composite color security microporous membrane and heavy-ion anti-counterfeiting technology, modified poly – Lipid nano-PET containers, polymer nano-composite materials, nano-antibacterial coatings (nano-organic, inorganic anti-bacterial, aseptic packaging), nano-materials in the temperature-sensitive, gas, humidity in the application of nano-and nano-pigment ink (Transparent nano – Grade slow iron oxide), nano-magnetic printing, nano-nano interface, paper and packaging materials such as binary.

4, micro-corrugated cardboard into a trend-based

In recent years, with the miniaturization of the corrugated board in-depth research in the international market, especially in Europe, a miniature used instead of thick corrugated cardboard material is in the ascendant, particularly among the F-leng, G Leng-based 3 thick layer of corrugated cardboard to replace the momentum is particularly fierce. With the development of such micro-corrugated cardboard and use of corrugated board in ensuring the traditional sense of the protection of goods, storage capabilities, based on its demonstrated role in commodity marketing has also been further strengthened. Production of micro-corrugated machinery, does not require the original corrugated equipment to do the new changes. At present, the small corrugated boxes, cartons have been a large number of fine replaced the alcohol and tobacco, food, household goods, medicine, computers, clothing, cosmetics, detergents and other products used in the original packaging cartons, boxes.

Micro-corrugated paper container with a cheap, rugged flat, thin materials, etc., have begun to rapidly occupy domestic market, China’s annual growth rate of more than 8%. The lower-priced fine corrugated in the use of the same situation demands, its costs by about 30%; thin corrugated solid, smooth, beautiful, print performance is good, saving about 30% of base paper. Carton processing machine and drum die-cutting machine without having to change, it can be in the latest equipment with a vacuum conveyor roller die-cutting machine processing, and even die-cutting machine in the lithographic process.

5, packing materials, green

With the rising awareness of environmental protection, global economic and industrial system is emerging as a leader in packaging revolution a “zero packaging”, “green packaging” concept, and pay storage implementation, green products and green packaging will be hot.

Green packaging is a high-tech form of packaging, starting from raw materials to packaging design, manufacture, and then to use of the product recovery section of each link must be the source, efficient and friendly. Eco-packaging materials to be the world wide attention from the development of its research, design, production, use, disposal and so the process of full consideration. In addition, the paper packaging focus on development of low weight, high strengthened, lightweight high-grade paper packaging to achieve standardization, serialization, multi-species, multi-substrate, multi-purpose objectives.

6, the implementation of circular economy

Circular economy is an efficient use of resources as the core, low consumption, low emission, high efficiency as the basic features of the concept of sustainable development in line with economic growth China model is the “mass production and consumption, a large number of abandoned” in the traditional resource-based economic growth model of a fundamental change in China. The Packaging Materials Future Outlook: Key trends in new materials, lightweighting and emerging applications

The Packaging Materials Future Outlook: Key trends in new materials, lightweighting and emerging applications

The global consumer packaging market is worth around US0bn. The market has been relatively resilient in the face of economic ups and downs, but the current recession has taken its toll – 2009 saw a downturn in market value. This report pinpoints the reasons why, highlights consumer and industry trends and casts an informed and speculative eye on the future. There is no doubt that consumer goods and consumer packaging are now facts of modern life, but the market is evolving and it is only prudent to understand the drivers of change and to take this understanding into planning for the future.

The inexorable rise of plastic packaging has been the key market narrative, a rise driven by cost, convenience and the entirely natural desire to do ever more with ever less. Plastic, however, is made from petrochemicals and raw materials are becoming increasingly costly. More significant still, plastic has relatively poor environmental credentials and is profoundly disliked by consumers, particularly in the developed West. Nevertheless, the plastics sector continues to receive the lion’s share of R&D into new technology, although bioplastics and nano-enhanced ‘super packaging’ are both some way from being commercially viable. Paper-based packaging is still the largest sector and has very strong environmental credentials; improving paper-s barrier properties is a crucial step in increasing its viability as a packaging material. Glass has an enviable reputation as a premium material and as a packaging medium out of which food and drink taste better; lightweighting is helping make glass easier to handle and more cost-effective in production and distribution. The rise of the aluminium beverage can has helped sustain the metal packaging sector – in other areas; metal is being developed through higher-quality graphics, new printing techniques and innovation in convenient closures.

This report assesses the relative weights of all these trends and sets the packaging market in its context – social, economic, environmental and cultural. It examines this complex and dynamic market organically, from the viewpoints of suppliers and end-users and looks in detail at regional drivers, as developing markets increasingly shape the future.

Key features of this report

• A broad assessment of the size and dynamics of the global consumer packaging market and its drivers – economic, social, cultural and environmental.
• Coverage of trends by material – plastics, glass, metal, paper and paperboard, by region – Europe, the Americas and Asia-Pacific and by product sector – alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, food.
• Assessment of consumer attitudes to packaging and the manner in which hardening attitudes amongst end-users are influencing the packaging industry.
• Comparative analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the different types of packaging material, in easy-to-view format.
• An assessment of how emerging technologies are likely to impact on the future of the market and on individual sectors.
• Illustrated references to key product introductions and innovations
• Assessment of supply-side trends and profiling of major industry players and their strategies
• Identification of the key commercial implications of current trends and an assessment of the future outlook for the market.

Key benefits from reading this report

• Understand market dynamics and make informed assessments of the future shape of the market, particularly in terms of what materials and technologies warrant investment.
• Decisions taken now, in the light of full information and a complete picture, can determine future progress – in a rapidly-changing marketplace, the winners stay ahead of the game and anticipate, rather than simply react.
• Gain an understanding of how the market is likely to look as the current recession passes into memory.
• Understand niche as well as mainstream packaging sectors; there are many potential avenues of growth for smaller suppliers who apprehend consumer needs.
• Be in a good position to tie product to the best packaging, especially in terms of new product development.
• Take all of the above information into the core of your NPD programme and appreciate fully the payoffs this will have, not only in terms of profitability, but – and crucially – in terms of company and brand image
• Understand the packaging market, not simply in terms of data, but holistically. Markets, like consumers, do not exist in a vacuum, but are proactive. The shape of change in the packaging market is tied inextricably to broader social issues and, ultimately, to the fact that packaging is something consumers take into their homes and have a relationship with.

Green Home Building Trends For 2010

Green Home Building Trends For 2010

Although the building industry had a dark year in 2009, Green building seemed to somehow stick out and shine. According to the Multiple Listing Service date, certified sustainable green new homes actually rose the past year in the northern west coast areas like Portland and Seattle. This trend is believed to spread over the U.S. and green building is expected to grow within new home sales. Already new home sales are on a rise from a year ago with March of 2010 seeing the biggest jump in new home sales in 47 years. So what trends can we expect to see in 2010 in green new homes?

1. Energy Monitoring Home Dashboards. The increasing demand for energy efficient homes, the development of a custom web-based display panel within the home, will show real-time home energy use. This sophisticated produced can break down the real time energy use of homeowners appliances, which will help a homeowner change the way they use their electricity. For example the way an electric car miles per gallon indicator encourages the owner to adapt their driving habits, green new homes that offer these Dashboards may encourage homeowners to reach lower energy use. Dashboards will also increase the probability that homeowners of green homes will reach the Energy Performance Score.

2. Energy Efficient Green Home Labeling. Like the miles per gallon label you would find when searching for a new car, energy rating systems for new homes has become popular among legislators.  This energy rating system will make it easier for homebuyers to see the energy efficiency of one green home compared to another. Each homes score will be available on the MLS.

3. Lenders and Green Homes Make for a Better Bottom Line. Lenders have come to the conclusion that green new homes are better for their bottom line. By seeing a trend of green home owners being more responsible and less probable to default on a loan, due to the fact that most green home owners are more accountable and likely to place higher value on home maintenance.  Green home owners are also less likely to default due to the decrease in energy coast within their green home. Lenders are now working to get reduced-rate loans and insurance packages for green new home owners.

4. Less Is More. Back when the housing market was booming, a larger homes lead to greater equity. However since that “bubble burst” this is no longer the case. With energy prices expected to rise over time, and the Federal Reserve likely to raise interest rates during 2010, homebuyers are likely to feel more at ease with smaller new green homes.

5. Water Conservation. Did you know that residential water usage accumulates for more than half of the public water supplied? The EPA decided in December 2009 to implement WaterSense. WaterSense specifies that new homes will need to reduce water use by 20 percent than conventional new home. Mandatory energy labeling in Europe already documents the water efficiency.

6. Net Zero Homes. A net zero home is a green home that generates more energy than it uses over a year. This is done by building a fairly small new green home that is extremely energy efficient and uses onsite renewable energy like wind, solar or geo-exchange systems.

Use this information when searching for new homes and green new homes for sale.

Sustainability Study Provides Insights Into Designer/Brand Owner Trends

Sustainability Study Provides Insights Into Designer/Brand Owner Trends

A new in-depth print sustainability study investigates designer and brand owner opinion regarding sustainable print practices. Sponsored by Monadnock Paper Mills and conducted by research firm Marketplace Insights, the Study was conducted with over 300 print designers, packaging designers and brand owners. It provides feedback on such topics as the importance of incorporating sustainable practices into projects, knowledge levels pertaining to sustainable print and packaging, the motivations to go green, and the sources most relied on for green design information. The study also probes awareness levels and perceived credibility of many environmental logos often used to display sustainability in print and packaging materials as well as designer and brand owner perceptions of the costs versus the profitability of going green. View the study here.

“We’re aware that the brand owner and designer communities are being inundated with sustainability claims, awards, certification schemes and environmental logos from suppliers, certifying bodies and even the media,” said Dave Lunati, Marketing Director for Monadnock, “We wanted to determine the perceptions of the importance these and the other factors that influence sustainable print and packaging design and determine which information is viewed as credible versus marketing hype from the individuals on the front lines of the green design movement.” The study was conducted online during the fourth quarter of 2008 through banner advertisements on print and packaging websites and through designer user groups and blogs. Respondents were motivated to take the survey by a donation to the Nature Conservancy by the study sponsor for each completed survey.

Actively develop and promote resource conservation, substitution and recycling technologies, speed up energy saving technological transformation of enterprises, on the high consumption, heavy pollution, technology behind the implementation of mandatory processes and products out of system resources for the implementation of favorable prices and tax savings policy.

High resistance and permeability of plastic packaging materials, they should be given to durability, preservation, protection and extended shelf life and flavor and was the rapid development and wide application, in addition to the widely applications of polyvinylidene chloride (PVDC), ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH), the recent years, the development of environmentally appropriate materials, to promote polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), polyethylene terephthalate (PEN), a total of polyamide (MXD6), silicon or aluminum oxide steam film (soft glass), the development of nano-inorganic materials will be more noticeable.

Functional packaging materials, such as functional preservation of film, sheet, microporous breathable film preservation, choose to packaging film, shrink packaging films and multi-functional with special features, convenience (easy to Kaifeng, easy to re-seal) packaging materials and products, etc. will be greater development. Aseptic packaging materials and technical biggest advantage is the sterile conditions, without preservatives, no refrigeration, can maximize the retention of food nutrients and flavor of the original, can significantly extend shelf life, easy storage and transport, market development very rapidly, expanding use, except in dairy products, fruit drinks account for sweat a larger share of foreign, will be further extended to pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and spices in the field.

Nanocomposite packaging materials will vary with the rapid development of nanotechnology, and rapid industrialization, because of its abrasion resistance, hardness, strength, penetration resistance, plasticity were significantly enhanced and improved, except for food packaging can be used for special packaging such as anti-static, electromagnetic, explosion-proof and invisible, dangerous goods packaging, which is expected to promote the traditional plastic packaging materials, a huge change.

Environmentally friendly (green adaptive) plastic packaging materials (or green plastic packaging materials), with the series of environmental management standards ISl4000 implementation of a global focus of attention, which easily recyclable plastic packaging materials such as PET, PEN, easy to environmental degradation plastics (EDP) in biodegradable plastics, has become the hot spot in the hot, other, such as zero pollution foam, thin-walled bottle and pouch packaging containers are also cause for concern.

Thermal plastic bottles of juice and canned tea drinks packaging, with the traditional sterile paper packaging, three-piece metal cans, glass bottles relatively low cost, transparent material, light weight, unbreakable, and good environmental adaptability advantages, and has received more and more widely used, its use accounts for the entire city of more than half of canned heat. Canned heat than PET plastic bottles, the bottles are more concerned in recent years, BOPP. BOPP bottle has the following advantages: the improvement of heat tolerance by PP stretching process, canned temperature to 100 degrees Celsius, the mouth does not need special equipment to handle, and to greatly improve the oxygen barrier performance: BOPP bottles do not absorb moisture, storage of long, easy recovery: PET bottle products cheaper than the cost of more than 20%.

    Key findings of this report

The consumer primary packaging market is worth around 0bn. Plastic packaging is the largest and best-performing sector. Paper-based packaging, however, remains the largest single segment, sustained by its ‘naturalness’, its recyclability, its versatility and its low cost. Metal and glass packaging are facing strong challenges from glass in their traditional strongholds.

The Asia-Pacific region is the largest consumer of packaging and its share continues to grow.

Demand for consumer packaging is tied into demand for consumer goods, itself subject to global economic trends. Food and beverages account for 70% of consumer packaging by end-use. Demand for convenience has helped drive growth in packaged foods. This is linked to changing lifestyles – greater affluence, less time.

Sustainability is becoming a market given and is relected in packaging reduction, lightweighting and in the application of new technologies to the market. Whilst plastic remains in the ascendancy, other sectors are fighting back. The future dominance of plastic is less a fact than its adherents would have the market believe.

The future of the packaging market may lie in ‘smaller, better, eco-firndlier’, rather than in ‘one size fits all’.
